Century CM, Inc. was incorporated in 1997, and is a sister to Century Steel Erectors and to Century Crane & Hoist, Inc. Century CM is able to expand the services of Century to provide its customers and new clients with professional construction management services, from the capital expenditure process of conceptual planning through the design development phase, the development of contract documents, the contract award phase, construction contract administration and closeout phases, and even the post contruction phase of warrany services and contract document records management and storage.
This service is led by Rubbie A. Greenewald, who has a quarter of a century's successful experience in the management of construction industry issues. Rubbie served as the Manager of Administrative Operations for the joint venture team that provided the CM services for Allegheny County's Department of Capital Projects, for the highly successful, on time and under budget, $800,000,000.00 Midfield Terminal Project at the new Pittsburgh International Airport. He also worked closely with the H.J. Heinz Pittsburgh Plant Renovation, "Heinzsite", managers and planners, and was instrumental in achieving the first industrial project agreement negotiated with the Pittsburgh Building Trades Council (1990). This agreement enabled Heinz to continue there long standing working relationship with many outside services for existing equipment and maintenance, but enabled Heinz to gain the benefits of national maintenance agreement working conditions for the $95 Million revitalizing of the Pittsburgh Facility to meet its competitive needs.

Professional expertise dealing with design and construction issues (design review, value engineering, multiple prime bid contract packages, scheduling, contract administration, change orders and negotiations, construction labor issues, contract dispute resolution, among other issues) is often outside the scope of in-house expertise.
- A full service Construction Manager enables any owner to supplement existing in-house expertise with a temporary contract based staff to "fill in" those services needed or desired for a capital expenditure project.
- If existing staff is already fully utilized, a Construction Manager can assume the role of agent to the Owner for handling all the Owner’s management and administrative obligations in designing and completing a project on time and under budget.
- The use of such an outside service, as a consultant, provides an independent expertise that is often desirable to public or private owners, who want an assurance that advise and decisions related to capital expenditures are based upon impartial expertise and legally defensible procedures.

Started in 1996, as a subsidiary of Century Steel Erectors, it has been established with personnel who have decades of experience in Industrial, commercial, and highway/bridge construction and management of projects from $20 Million to $800 Million in value.
We are dedicated to the full utilization of the latest versions of the industry’s best known software for providing timely and accurate record keeping and reporting of projects. This information management enables the owner to have up-to-date information for decision making throughout the process of designing and building.
We are dedicated to assisting each owner in the development of a team, and coordinating that team’s efforts toward a set of common goals, for the success of the capital investment being made by the owner.
